Advisory Services

Project funding enables the Federal Government and the states to directly shape the course of research and innovation policy. Within the context of funding and technical programmes, they can respond quickly and flexibly to current issues, new developments and challenges. Project Management Jülich (PtJ) administers the programmes on behalf of the ministries. Our staff advise interested parties on all aspects of project funding and the application process. With the Federal Funding Advisory Service on Research and Innovation and the National Contact Points for various topic areas, we are also responsible for central advisory services concerned with funding for research and innovation at the federal, state (Länder) and EU level.

The National Contact Point – Digital and Industrial Technologies (NCP DIT) advises funding applicants in Germany on the topics of digital key technologies, artificial intelligence and robotics, the next generation of the Internet, advanced computing, large data volumes, cyber security, manufacturing technologies, nanotechnologies, materials, the circular economy, and low-carbon and clean industries in preparation for the upcoming European framework programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
